Dawn to Dusk Pansy by Isao Sato

One of the newest additions to the extraordinary Japanese Elegance Pansy Series, Elegance Pansy ‘Dawn to Dusk’ is a rare Japanese pansy bred by renowned hybridizer Isao Sato. Dramatic, moody and unlike an ordinary pansy, Dawn to Dusk combines extraordinary ruffling with an ever-changing range of rich colors.

Heavily ruffled, dimensional blooms unfold in an incredible mix of deep violet, smoky purple, wine, blue and golden yellow, often with contrasting edges, dark centers and intricate markings. Each plant develops its own unique coloring and pattern, so no two are quite the same.

The full, rounded flowers are so heavily ruffled they resemble miniature works of art. Cooler temperatures can intensify their rich coloring, making Dawn to Dusk especially striking in spring containers, window boxes and garden borders.

Available for Spring 2027 preorder as Dawn to Dusk pansy plugs for shipping or local pickup, and as 4" potted plants for local pickup.

Please note: Dawn to Dusk is grown as a mix, so individual flower colors, markings and patterns will vary. Blooms may range from deep violet, blue and smoky purple to wine and warm golden yellow. No two plants will look exactly alike.

This is a pre-order for Spring 2027. Payment is collected when your order is placed to reserve your plants. Because your plants are specially grown and reserved for you, pre-orders are considered final once placed and cannot be cancelled or refunded due to a change of mind.

Expected availability:

• 3-Pack Pansy Plugs: Early March 2027 — shipping or local pickup
• 4" Potted Plants: April 2027 — local pickup only

Availability dates are approximate and may vary slightly depending on growing conditions. If Thief of Weeds is unable to fulfill an item in your order, you will be contacted and refunded for the unavailable item.

Live Plant Shipping

We are currently accepting pre-orders for live pansy and viola plants to all U.S. states except Alaska and Hawaii.

Because live plant shipping requirements vary by state, all orders are subject to the agricultural regulations of the destination state. We will review any applicable requirements before your plants are shipped.

If we are unable to legally ship live plants to your state, your order will be canceled and fully refunded.

Shipping dates may also be adjusted due to extreme temperatures or unsafe weather conditions to help protect your plants during transit.

Dawn to Dusk pansy plug orders are expected to begin shipping in March 2027.
