Where to Buy Locally Grown Flowers in Williamsport, PA
If you’re looking for fresh, locally grown flowers in the Williamsport, Pennsylvania area, you don’t have to settle for flowers that have traveled hundreds, or even thousands, of miles before reaching your table.
At Thief of Weeds, we grow seasonal cut flowers right here in Linden, PA, just outside of Williamsport. Our flowers are grown in small batches and harvested throughout the season, which means what’s available changes as the garden changes.
And honestly, that’s part of the fun.
What Does “Locally Grown Flowers” Mean?
Locally grown flowers are exactly what they sound like: flowers grown close to where they’re sold.
Instead of relying on a standard list of flowers available year-round, we work with the seasons.
Spring may bring delicate, romantic blooms and flowering branches. Summer fills the garden with colorful annuals, interesting textures and foliage. By late summer and early fall, dahlias become some of the stars of the garden.
Every week looks a little different.
That means your arrangement may include flowers you wouldn’t normally see in a grocery-store bouquet—and varieties chosen because they are beautiful, unusual or simply too good not to grow.
Where Is Thief of Weeds?
Thief of Weeds is a small flower farm located in Linden, Pennsylvania, serving the greater Williamsport and Central Pennsylvania area.
We are not a traditional walk-in flower shop. Flowers are grown seasonally and are available through preorders, scheduled pickups, local delivery and special offerings throughout the growing season.
Because everything is grown in limited quantities, availability depends on what is blooming in the garden that week.
What Can You Buy From a Local Flower Farm?
Depending on the season, Thief of Weeds offers several ways to enjoy locally grown flowers.
Seasonal Flower Arrangements
Our arrangements are created with flowers harvested from the garden and designed around what is looking its best at that moment.
Rather than trying to make every arrangement identical, we embrace the natural character of seasonal flowers.
The result is something a little more relaxed, garden-inspired and beautifully untamed.
DIY Flower Buckets

For weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, parties or anyone who simply loves arranging flowers, DIY flower buckets are a great option.
Buckets include a seasonal mixture of flowers, filler, foliage and textural elements that you can arrange yourself.
They are especially popular for:
- Bud vases
- Mason jar arrangements
- Table centerpieces
- Bridal and baby showers
- Graduation parties
- Backyard weddings
- DIY wedding flowers
Because the flowers are seasonal, the exact varieties and colors available depend on what is blooming around the date of your event.
Flowers for Weddings and Events
If you’re planning an event in the Williamsport area and love a natural, garden-grown look, locally grown flowers can be a beautiful option.
Couples planning DIY weddings can purchase flower buckets and create their own centerpieces, bud vases and other arrangements.
One of the biggest advantages of working with seasonal flowers is that your flowers actually reflect the time of year when your event takes place.
An August wedding should feel like August.
A September wedding should feel like September.
That seasonality is something I love about growing flowers.
Dahlia Tubers
Dahlias are a major part of the late-summer garden at Thief of Weeds.
In addition to selling fresh flowers during the growing season, selected dahlia tubers are available seasonally for gardeners who want to grow some of the varieties themselves.

When Are Locally Grown Flowers Available in Pennsylvania?
Our main flower season runs from spring through the first hard frost in fall, typically this is the beginning of May until mid-October.
Because Pennsylvania has very distinct seasons, different flowers take their turn throughout the year.
You may find entirely different flowers in June than you would in August, and that’s exactly how a seasonal flower farm should work.
If you have an upcoming wedding, party or special event, it’s always a good idea to reach out ahead of time so we can talk about what is typically blooming during that part of the season.
Why Buy Flowers From a Local Grower?
There are plenty of reasons to buy locally grown flowers, but one of my favorites is simply this:
You get to experience flowers that belong to the moment you’re in.
They haven’t been selected because they can survive a long shipping journey.
They’ve been selected because they’re beautiful.
You might discover a dahlia you’ve never seen before, an unusual piece of foliage, a delicate filler flower or something that only blooms for a few short weeks each year.
And your purchase supports a small local business right here in Central Pennsylvania.
